Thomas turns 12

It's crazy to think we have a twelve year old! Time is a thieve, but I really have enjoyed the pre-teen years, I just don't think I'm old enough to have a 12 year old.

The kid's first day of school during Covid. They loved it, and so far school is going great. The two younger boys don't have to wear masks but Thomas does, at first he was bummed out but he said he's used to it now. We are excited to see how this school year will go.

Back to School

Three weeks ago Thomas and Oliver started school. We went to Meet the Teachers night and both teachers seem really awesome.

The kids on the first day of school.

The first day of school was a little rough with these two. They were used to grandma, Dustin, and their two older brothers for entertainment, so we had a few melt downs but the last two weeks have been better thank goodness!
Also Thomas has glasses now and I personally think they look really good on him. He would only wear them while watching tv or during class when he needed to read the bored but between everyone saying they looked good on him, my mom calling him a blonde Harry Potter, and seeing a lot of his cousins wearing glasses he wears them all the time now.

Thomas's Baptism

Last month Thomas got baptized. It's so crazy to me that I have an eight year old! We are so proud of Thomas, he's really an awesome kid and I can't wait to see what he does with his life. His baptism was perfect and I was so grateful for all those who came to support him.

Thomas turns 8!

I have an 8 year old!!! I don't feel like I'm old enough to have an eight year old. Also it hit me the other day that I have short 10 more years before this kid will be out of our house conquering the world. I'm so proud of this kid, the other day he came home from school crying, I asked him why and he said he was so sad when he told his friend about Jesus and his friend said Jesus isn't real. He was so heart broken he said "She doesn't know, she thinks there is a God but she didn't know Jesus and said he was make believe. So I asked if she ever prayed, and she said no. I'm going to show her by showing her The Book of Mormon that Jesus is real." I was so sad that he was sad but also so happy that he has the desire to do what's right and that he has a little testimony already. I'm also so grateful for the challenge from President Nelson to read and finish The Book of Mormon by the end of the year because I was just reading about Alma the younger and the sons Mosiah and how they are missionaries telling the people about Christ and how sometimes people would reject what they said about Christ and I was able to comfort Thomas and let him know he was being a great missionary like the missionaries of The Book of Mormon. The challenge gave me a great opportunity to teach my son the truths from God and I'm so grateful for that and I'm so grateful for Thomas.

The Two Older Ones

A couple of weeks ago Thomas finished all 7 Harry Potter books, I'm one proud mom. He also read the Cursed Child so he's officially a Potterhead. Oliver also was a star student this first of the school year and had Champ for the weekend, he was pretty excited about that. Both kids are really liking school this year.

Thomas is Seven!

 I can't believe Thomas is 7!
There is no one like our Thomas, life is just better with him around, he is definitely a light in this world. He is such a cool kid sometimes I feel like he’s an adult in a kid’s body. He doesn’t care what people think about him, he’s fine doing his own thing but is a friend to all. He always wants to do the right thing. He’s a homebody and loves when we are hanging out at home as a family. This kid is going to be an awesome artist, he designed his own birthday cake, he drew it all out for me he not only draws but he writes books and animates movies.  When he watches a movie he will pause it and analyze everything to see how it works, it’s awesome and annoying, just watch the dang movie!  but I know he’s studying it so I let him. Well, I could go on but I’m so glad the Lord trusted me to raise this special boy who made me Mom.
