Back to School

It's been a while, it's been super busy since school started.

The kids started school back in August. Elizabeth was so excited to be at school with her brothers.

Thomas is in Middle school and he loves it. It's so fun seeing the kids growing up.

First Day of School

The kid's first day of school during Covid. They loved it, and so far school is going great. The two younger boys don't have to wear masks but Thomas does, at first he was bummed out but he said he's used to it now. We are excited to see how this school year will go.

Meet the Teachers

A few weeks ago I took all five kids solo to Meet the Teachers. I'm sure I was a sight to see, I had Alice in a stroller with Oliver pushing it and then a wagon to carry all the school supplies and the all the kids, but I made it!

The kids were excited to meet their teachers and see their school again. We were also excited to get Mrs. Hector again for Peter.

First Week of Kindergarten!

Well we made through one week of Kindergarten!
I can't believe Thomas is old enough to go to school, that went fast.
Last week we met Ms. H, Thomas' teacher, and I already liked her so much! When we walked into Thomas' classroom I got a lump in my throat because it all became real to me, Thomas has been with me almost everyday the last five years and ten months! So this was a big change for me. He was so excited to go to school and he insisted on riding the bus the first day, which made good byes easier for me because it was more quick and somewhat painless ha ha .
Thomas' bus comes pretty early in the morning so our "First day" pictures were a little dark and the boys were goofing off. Everyday Oliver insists on wearing his back-pack to the bus stop.
I took a picture after school, since the lighting was better. Thomas was so excited to tell me about his day, it's really the highlight of my day; I love hearing how excited he is about school. I also really like Thomas' teacher she called me on the second day to let me know how well Thomas has been doing and how she has been enjoying him in class, that was great to hear.
Also this week was Dustin's first week of school this year. He's excited for this year and he feels like it will be a great year, and he's excited to see some repeated students, well, at least most of them ;)

Crazy Week and Weekend

Dustin and I are done!!!!! We are finally BYU-I graduates! This month has been crazy because both Dustin and I had to get our senior projects done and hung while joggling (sp) with Thomas. This week was even more crazy trying to get finals done and last minute assignments and papers while preparing for graduation. What was even more crazy was this weekend. We had Dustin's sister Emily get married on Friday in Draper, utah than that night we had graduation, than Saturday morning we had the big graduation in the new auditorium (which was massive by the way) and blessed Thomas that afternoon. It was fun and crazy at the same time but now we can sit back and relax at least for a while.
A little about Thomas, first thing he is a joy in our lives and I love him so much! And he's soooo cute! He's learning how to smile, well is more opening his mouth with a little bit of a smile but he knows he gets a reaction to it!

Thomas Weston Clark and some catch up!

Most of you know that Thomas is now with us! He was born November 7 at 6:04 a.m. and he was 7.8 pounds and 20 1/2 inches. He's been a lot of fun the last two weeks and he's getting so big! Here are some pictures of the little guy, he is so cute! But I'm probably bias because he's our little guy but I just think he's adorable.
Now some catching up, I haven't been much of a blogger because I've been working on my senior project and was trying to get it done before the little one came. Well I'm almost finished and Dustin and I will be having our art work hung up in the college library on December 2-17, so you should stop by and see it, but if not I will post some of our paintings next week so you guys can see. It's been fun but we are both excited to be done and also to be done with school. But here is my invitation for the opening reception:

He's hair is always crazy after a bath, but I look at this picture right now and he looks so little compared to now, it's crazy how fast they grow!

Those are a few things we have been up to, and I will try be a better blogger in the future!

Where Did Time Go?

Today Dustin and I went to BYU-I bookstore to buy some books and school stuff for our last semester. While we were waiting in line to purchase our stuff I couldn't help but wonder where the time went, because it seemed like yesterday I was at the old bookstore getting stuff for my first semester in college as an 18 year old. Now exactly three years later as a 21 year old who is married and expecting her first baby boy I couldn't help but feel a little old when were surrounded by freshman with their parents and I was the only one there with a baby bump. But these past three years have been awesome and I have grown up a lot and it's crazy to see how much happens those three years. In those three years I had to opportunity to go to Europe, to learn how to mountain bike, broke my tail bone for the first time, been proposed to more than once, had my heart broken, had some great dates and some really bad dates, had my first C, had a few trials, my testimony has grown, met many great people, and of course I met my husband and been having a blast these last nine months and now soon to have a baby. It's been fun but I can't wait to move to the next level but at the same time nervous about it. It's crazy to think in a few months I will be done with school and that's what I have been doing with my life for 15+ years and to be a mother for the first time. Just crazy to think.
On another note Dustin and I are doing really well, keeping busy with our art, and the last few weeks Dustin's sister, Crystal has taught me how to design for digital scrapbooking so I have also been working on that. Also we are getting ready for our little critter in a couple months, it's getting very exciting but nerve wrecking for me at the same time. School starts in 2 days so things are going to go crazy but exciting at the same time.

The First Couple of Weeks of School

The first couple of weeks of school have been busy. It's been crazy trying to get everything done in a day between school, work, and wedding plans. Many people have warned Dustin and I that people generally fail the semester they are engaged, so we are determined to prove people wrong. So we have been in the art building almost every single night trying to get our projects done! So I'm already burnt out ha ha!
But this semester is going really well and really fun besides being busy. I'm taking Intro to Illustration, Head drawing(again), Shakespeare, D&C, and a Cake Decorating class.
Cake Decor class is really fun, hard, but fun. But I'm learning some really neat techniques in baking and decorating. The class is also a very humbling experience because I'm not very good. My first cake turned out ok, I would never give it to someone, but I did learn a lot and I think I will do better next time. But I will admit the cake was very good even though it didn't look good.
While Dustin and I were eating it, I must admit we were having too much fun having a little food fight! I attacked him a lot better than he did to me!!

Pictures of us after the cake fight! I seriously love Dustin sooooo much! He is soooo good to me!

The cake and me laughing about it because I was so embarrassed how it looked.
The cake, yeah... let's hope I get better. Also notice the pb&j sandwiches on the side, that's what Dustin survives on.

Working in the Spori building as always.... determined to keep up the good grades while we are engaged!!

It's Been a Good Week!

These are just some pictures of my new hair color!

First thing I just want to say is that I have been truly blessed! This weekend I had so many people come and comforted me! Seriously, I didn't realize how lucky I was! So thanks to all my friends and family, you're truly blessings in my life.
This last weekend I colored my hair in dark brown with a red velvet tint to it! It's super fun, I like it, my mother on the other hand said: "You have a purple hair! Why would you ever want to do that!" I love her still!
Than this last week Dustin and I had a good chat, and we are back together! And wow! Did I miss that kid over the weekend!! We both agreed that was the longest weekend and life was just not the same!!!! It's amazing what communication can do! So that happened this Tuesday, so the week started of really good.
Than today I found something out that I have been dreaming about since I was a senior in high school and it was my goal ever since I heard about it! I made it the BFA Art Program!!!!!!! I'm so excited!! I have been working really hard to get in this program and I was way nervous to turn my portfolio in because I barely made the cut off line credit wise and I knew that I was competing with some really good juniors and seniors! But Brother Huntsman (my favorite art teacher in the whole wide world) gave me the thumbs up, and said "shhh" because technically I'm not so post to know until a week or so! It's pays to be the art secretary!
So life can get any better than this!
