Decorating For Christmas

I'm running a little behind here, but during Thanksgiving break we decorated our house for Christmas. I love seeing the kids get all excited about putting the tree up. Also this year I broke down and bought a new tree for our living room and it barely fit! Our past tree had come from the thrift store but last year it gave up the ghost, and I had to have two trees up ;) We also decorated ginger breaded houses that week.

Thomas turns 8!

I have an 8 year old!!! I don't feel like I'm old enough to have an eight year old. Also it hit me the other day that I have short 10 more years before this kid will be out of our house conquering the world. I'm so proud of this kid, the other day he came home from school crying, I asked him why and he said he was so sad when he told his friend about Jesus and his friend said Jesus isn't real. He was so heart broken he said "She doesn't know, she thinks there is a God but she didn't know Jesus and said he was make believe. So I asked if she ever prayed, and she said no. I'm going to show her by showing her The Book of Mormon that Jesus is real." I was so sad that he was sad but also so happy that he has the desire to do what's right and that he has a little testimony already. I'm also so grateful for the challenge from President Nelson to read and finish The Book of Mormon by the end of the year because I was just reading about Alma the younger and the sons Mosiah and how they are missionaries telling the people about Christ and how sometimes people would reject what they said about Christ and I was able to comfort Thomas and let him know he was being a great missionary like the missionaries of The Book of Mormon. The challenge gave me a great opportunity to teach my son the truths from God and I'm so grateful for that and I'm so grateful for Thomas.

Halloween 2018

The Melissa Public Library always throws the best Halloween party. Peter and Elizabeth had a great time.

This year I got out-voted and we painted pumpkins this year versus carving.

The little Trick or Treaters! It was a wet cold night.

Pumpkin Village at the Aboretum

We had a great time at the aboretum a few weeks ago with Dustin's grandma and aunt. I love the aboretum this time the year, and I loved how the theme was Peter Pan!

Snap Shots of September and a little of October

September was a good month. I love having Peter and Elizabeth home with me.
Dustin finished his Master's Degree in the end of August! We are so happy he is done! Last year was a busy, crazy year. Also Dustin turned 35! We are so lucky to have him.
