Face Painting

The other day, Dustin had to do face painting for a fundraiser at his school and brought some paints home and had some fun with the boys.  The boys had a blast, and Thomas got really into his character.
This picture cracks me up. This boy was so funny the whole time Dustin was painting him.

Peter @ 2 Months

This past Sunday Peter turned 2 months!
I really like 2 months, I love how they are still little to sleep anywhere, but they are old enough to interact with smiles and coos.
Peter loves to smile and talk.
He loves to be held and to cuddle.
The last few nights he will do a five hour gap before a feeding, then a three hour one. But we will see if that lasts, so far my kids start eating less during the night at 2 months, then at 4 months they start eating every 2 hours again for another few months.
He was my biggest baby when he was born, but he has gained weight slower than my other boys so he seems smaller longer. At his appointment he was over 11 pounds, while Oliver at the same age was 13 pounds, so I'm curious how he is going to grow.
Everyone says he looks exactly like Oliver but I see a lot of Thomas too, but recently I have leaned towards him looking like Oliver, but I think he's a good mixture.
He is a very easy baby, he will go with the flow, he just needs to be held and loved here and there and he is good.
We are so lucky to have him in our little family.

Nieces' Reunion

A week and a half ago Dustin's family had a nieces' reunion and it was so fun! I'm so lucky to have married to such an awesome family. Dustin watched the two older boys so I just had Peter with me. Dustin's sister also had a baby which was nice because we were nursing buddies and hung out a lot in the car nursing between all the places we went to.
We did a lot of fun things that weekend, there was a lot of late nights, chatter, and good laughs.
Friday we went bowling and caught up with each others lives. Then we went out for lunch, did some shopping, had yummy salads at Grandma Hayden's house, then had a surprise bridal shower for Taylor, isn't she adorable?
Saturday I taught a painting class like I did last year. The ladies did great, and I even had to leave part of it to feed Peter, and they did just fine without me directing them.
Then we had lunch and we started getting ready for our Downton Abbey themed dinner. Dustin's sister set up the table and it turned out beautiful. We all were excited to get dressed up since most of us are huge Downton Abbey fans. Earlier that week we all had gone shopping at thrift stores trying to come up with our outfits, that it was so fun to see everyone's outfits come together. We were all pretty amazed how everyone outfits worked and we took A LOT of pictures. It was so fun. And by the way, I'm horrible at taking serious pictures.
Emily cracks me up in this picture.
Doug, my father in law, was Carson the butler, and he did an awesome job; he kept bringing me rolls, he knows me too well.
And some more pictures:
Sunday we had a big breakfast and Dustin came with the boys, and it was so good to see them.
I had such a great time, I can't wait for next year! Maybe we will do another themed dinner?

Perot Museum

We've been wanting to go to the Perot museum since it has opened two years ago, and last week during spring break we decided to finally go, and it seemed everyone had the same idea because it was super busy.
Since we decided to get a family year pass we didn't stay all day, we just walked through one floor, and the boys LOVED the dinosaurs. Oliver was a little scared at first but he warmed up to it after a while.
We are excited to go back and explore the rest of the museum.

Blessing Peter

This past Sunday we were able to bless Peter. It was a beautiful day and Dustin gave him a wonderful blessing. My parents were able to fly in from Idaho, but Dustin's dad was not able to make it because his flight was cancelled because of the weather; who knew in March Texas would be covered in snow? But since we blessed Peter at my in-laws instead of church we were able to Scype with Dustin's dad so he could hear the blessing. We had many family there to support Peter. We are greatly blessed.

Some amazing things that were mentioned in Peter's blessing was that he was named after his ancestors, (my mom's grandfather was Peter William, and I guess Dustin's side has that name as well) and that he is loved by his family here on earth and the ones who came before and that he will be part of the work of redeeming the dead. And that he would be an example to his younger siblings. I didn't realize the plural until my sister in law mentioned it afterwards. Dustin and I have been leaning on having four kids, but recently I was thinking how sad it was that we were having one more baby after this, so I was excited about that, so I guess this means we have at least two more children!!!

I'm so grateful for this Gospel, I'm grateful for my husband and my three boys. I'm one lucky girl!
Each time Dustin has blessed our boys he has mentioned a quality of the boys  that will bless my life, Thomas is my helper, Oliver shows me love, and Peter brings me comfort.

I like to call them my gifts from my Heavenly Father.

Snow!

We've had some crazy weather this past week. Last Friday it snowed all day long! It was crazy but I loved it!
The boys wanted to play outside but Peter was asleep so during the day I had the boys play on our porch. They were out there until I made them come in so they wouldn't freeze.
Then when Dustin came home they went out again, and I even bundled Peter and took him out but he didn't last that long.
