Snap Shots of May
I have yet again been neglecting this blog here. My art class will be ending soon, so I'm hoping I can pick up again. Even during this busy month I have tried to keep up with pictures. Having an I-phone, it's been easier to take more pictures but I'm sad that I haven't used my nice camera as much as I used to, so I guess I have this love-hate relationship with the I-phone camera. I like that it's always there so I can always take a picture but I dislike how I never grab my other camera as much. So my goal this next month is to take more pictures using my good camera. Anyway, I hope I will be better at updating this next month.

When Hayden and Lara Came to Texas
This past week, Dustin's brother, Hayden, and his wife, Lara, came to visit here in good old Texas. So of course we did some fun activities. Right after they landed last Wednesday we went out for lunch and went straight to the Fort Worth Zoo. Thomas was excited to come back to show Dustin all the animals, since we just went a few weeks ago.
It was a perfect day and all the animals were out and about. We got to see the crocodiles very close and we even had a gorilla come up close and personal, it was crazy, he really liked Oliver and really interacted with him, it was an awesome moment.
Then afterwards everyone went to a baseball game and I drove the kids home and had the night to myself.

On Thursday we went to the Arboretum, I think that was the third time this last month, but I always love going to the Arboretum. The flowers were really pretty and the kids love running around, we even got to play in some water fountains.
Also, thanks to uncle Hayden, Thomas caught his first fish! He loved it. He went three times that day and he kept asking to go back out.
Their little visit went too fast, we already miss them. We always love having visitors.

Easter 2014

I'm so grateful for the first Easter, when Jesus resurrected! It's because of my Savior I can be with my family forever! Words can't express the joy that brings to me.

Fort Worth Zoo
For play group this week we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It's a little over an hour away from us but it was worth the drive. The kids loved it, and let's be honest I loved it too. Thomas keeps asking me when we are going back, he wants to show "daddy" everything, so we might just have to return soon. It's always so fun to see your kids get excited to see the animals. Thomas has been big into the Madagascar movies so he was excited to see the lions like Alex, and was excited to see the crocodile like the one from Peter Pan. It was a perfect day!
Aboretum in the Spring
I just love the Aboretum! And I have been lucky to go several times a year, but I have never been during the Spring! And it was GORGEOUS, literally my mouth dropped when we walked in there it was so beautiful, my pictures really don't give it justice. I have always loved the Aboretum in the Autumn with the pumpkins but spring time is right up there on my list. If you are ever in the Dallas area during the spring time you need to go to the Aboretum, you won't regret it. I think next year I will have to take some Easter pictures there!
