Summer Vacation Part 1

We are finally back from our one month summer vacation.  It was fun but I'm glad to be home.
We started at Utah for my dad's family reunion. We were able to stay at my brother's house, the kids love playing with their cousins.

We also got to go to Thanksgiving point at the Museum of Curiosity.
After the reunion we headed to Rexburg for the fouth of the July. I was excited to go to the parade since it has been about 8 years since I've seen it. The kids had a lot of fun playing "ninja destruction" waiting for the parade, and they scored with the candy.
My making her famous home made root bear.
The kids had a blast playing in my parents' basement, and watching a movie before bed with their cousins.
We also were able to go to Porter Park a few times to ride the Carousel.
Since we all were feeling somewhat under the weather we didn't go to Yellowstone like we originally planned, but we did go to Mesa Falls.
While we were in Rexburg we also got to see a lot of our professors at BYU-Idaho and were able to sit in some of the classes. We also all got very sick while we were town, so I didn't take many pictures rest of the trip because I had no energy, but we had a lot of fun seeing our friends.
After Rexburg we headed to Zion's for Dustin's family reunion which I will post about later since I took zero pictures and hoping to steal some from Dustin's sisters.

June

June is going by fast, and summer has been busy for us.

The two older boys had swim lessons the first two weeks and did great, we will do another session in August when we get back from our family reunions.

Also we have been doing a lot of water activities to fill up our days in the hot Texas weather. Monday we usually go to a splash pad, then Tuesdays and Wednesdays we have play groups at the pool. Then in the afternoons we usually have pop corn and watch a movie.

We also have been playing dress up a lot, and made some home made Birthday cake ice cream that Dustin and I really liked, our boys, not as much, they had it once and called it good.

Also since Dustin has the summer off we trade to work on our art, each week varies, but Monday-Thursday Dustin goes to school and works on his art, or our lesson plans we are working on for private art lessons (more on that later)  then he comes home around 2 then I work on art till dinner. Then Friday is my art day and he takes the kids all day. Then the weekend is family time, so far this schedule has worked pretty good.

And we are excited to head to Utah/Idaho in the next little bit!

Summer and Memorial Day

It's been raining a lot here in Texas, but the other day it was perfect weather so we played outside in out little pool. And it got me all excited about the summer and many days outside swimming. The two older boys start swimming lessons next week!
Also this past Memorial Day we hung out with my brother and his family with the Cruz family. It was a little muddy from all the rain but we still had fun. The boys loved riding the boats and they always love hanging out with their cousins.

The popular thing right now with my boys is playing Legos on our table.
Spaghetti sauce on the face, means it's bath time.
Like my two other boys, Peter loves painting and drawing.

Snap Shots and Updates

So this month has been full of changes and excitement for our little family.

Peter finally is done nursing. Which I'm happy and sad about, I love nursing but I also love my sleep and my kids don't start sleeping through the night until they stop nursing. So now some nights he sleeps through the night, and it's fabulous!

I think Oliver is on his way to being potty-trained! We are on day two and things are looking good, fingers cross, I really hate potty training that I wait till their older and they start having dry diapers in the morning.

This month has been very big for Thomas, he has lost two baby teeth, and got his first broken bone. He and Oliver and a friend were playing a game when Thomas' finger got caught in the door! But it's healing really fast and less than a week he was already drawing with it, I love how much he loves to draw. Also today we registered him to start Kindergarten this year! It's so crazy to have a child in school! He is so excited and asks almost everyday when does he start school.

Then mother's day was this past Sunday and I got spoiled by my boys. Flowers and breakfast in bed. I love being a mom to my little boys.

And finally Dustin has two more weeks of school the SUMMER!

Wicked and Waco Texas

April was such a fun month!
A couple of weeks ago Dustin and I went to Wicked!!!! You have no idea how excited I was about this. I practically was running to the theater and jumping up and down while we were waiting for the show to start! I saw it eight years ago and have been wanting to see it again, I told Dustin I will probably go again when it's in Dallas again. And I cried during the show!?! Ha ha I was that excited, I don't know why I was so emotional. And I get goosebumps every time I listen to the song Defying Gravity, so good.
Then last week, my friend, Kelly, and I went to Waco Texas to go see the Magnolia Store, from the "Fixer Upper" tv show.  We left first thing in the morning and stopped at a yummy bakery that we came just in time for because when we left there was a line wrapped around the building.
Then Magnolia! The store was adorable of course, and I wanted everything! But ended up getting a shirt, which I thought was funny because I really wanted to get something for my house but ended up with a shirt. Then afterwards we hung outside the outdoors which is also fun. There is a grassy area that you can play soccer or any sport, and by that they had some swings that were adorable.  There were also picnic tables all over and food trucks; it was a really cool hang out place, and later the workers brought these really cool bean bags for people to lounge on the grass.
Kelly and I ended up getting some crepes which were delicious, I would highly recommend that if you ever go.
Then after we had to Harp Designs. There was also a lot of cool stuff there. I really want the candle sticks from there.
Then we hung out at a park and our last stop was cupcakes that we knew Joanna would get all the time. Then we headed home. It was so fun we are planning on going down again during the fall/Christmas season!
