Halloween Festivities

We had a great Halloween this year, it's so fun to do traditions with our little family. 

About a week ago we frosted some Halloween cookies but I ran out of time to make frosting so I sent Dustin to the store to get some, and he came home with just blue, so our cookies weren't very Halloweenish ha ha, but the kids had a great time. 

Then Sunday we carved some pumpkins at grandma Lisa's. We almost didn't carve pumpkins this year, but I'm glad we did.

Then on Halloween for school they had a 50's day to celebrate their 50th day at school. Thomas was very excited to have a root beer float party.

Then trick-or-treating!  The kids were very excited about trick or treating!

For our ward party we all dressed up, Pretty sure Dustin and I were the only adults in costume. As a family we didn't have a theme this year, Dustin and I are Lupin and Tonks from Harry Potter in case you can't tell.

Pumpkin Patches

I don't know why blogging has been taking me forever to get around to, I have had these pictures edited forever ago and just now I am posting about it. 

The past month we have enjoyed going to some pumpkin patches. One night for FHE we went to the pumpkin patch near our house, the kids especially loved the maze part.

Then one day for playgroup we went to another pumpkin patch, the kids loved the corn bin. I'm still finding random corn in  my house.

A boy and his Dog

Sorry for the repeat for those you follow me on social media.

About a month ago we were in Ikea when Peter saw this dog, I let him play with it planning on not actually buying it but he loves this dog that I didn't have the heart to take it away and ever since this dog has not left his side and it's the cutest thing.

September

I was really bad at blogging this past month, and actually this year.

Life just gets busy and I have been meaning to blog the past two weeks. 

What happened in the month of September:

Thomas was the student of the week and he got to take "Champ" the dog home, and of course when Champ was here Peter threw up on him, and he had to get a bath. The two youngest boys had that mouth, hand, foot disease for two weeks. That wasn't fun, we were stuck in the house and the kids had a hard time sleeping at night because they were itchy, it was a long two weeks.

Thomas is really liking school and is already reading awesome! He loves reading and loves going to school, at least for now.

This past month I painted our front door and build Thomas a book self.

Dustin has been pretty busy at teaching this year, he's says its going to be a challenging year but is still liking it.

One of the reasons I have been bad at blogging is I have been really into a book series that has taken over my life ha ha.

And before the month was over we had our Halloween up because I couldn't wait!
 

Snap Shots

Before School started the boys went fishing with Dustin and his brother. Both Oliver and Peter caught fish, I couldn't believe the size of the one Peter caught!

Then these last couple of weeks have been rough. Oliver gets bored not having Thomas around so his new entertainment is to annoy Peter. But this week has gone a lot better... knock on wood. 

But when they are nice to each other they play so good together. I do have to try and keep them entertained, so we have been doing splash pads a few times, it's been weird for me not having Thomas with us.

Couple of weeks ago we purchased a tramp. It is so nice, my kids play outside a lot longer without having me be right there. I'm excited for all the memories we are going to have with this thing, sleep overs, movie nights...

Last week we went to the zoo with my brother and his boy, Evan. It was nice to get the kids out of the house and do something "big".

Anyway, nothing too exciting happening here.
