The Typical Baby Bump Picture!

Here is the typical baby bump picture that people do. Well here I am at 13 weeks. I can see the bump pretty well, but some people at my work tease me and say they can't see anything, but I know it's there because I was getting very uncomfortable in my regular pants that Dustin and I finally got some maternity pants and it feels good to not have pants jabbing me in the stomach. But I didn't think I would start showing this fast because it's my first one but o well it's still exciting.
This last week I had another check up and my mom and I got to see the baby again through the ultra sound and the baby was moving like crazy that the nurse had a hard time measuring the little kiddo. So I'm thinking it's one active boy like his father or one hyper girl like her mother, it will be interesting to find out what the gender will be.
So about us, Dustin is doing really well with his art. He has been doing caricatures at several activities, first he did one for I-night and he was a big hit, and ever since than he has been getting some random college students who have been asking if they could get theirs done. Also he did one of the new Teriyaki guy in Rexburg so we have been getting free meals there. And for this month he is doing caricatures at the high School for $30-50 an hour, and just today he got a job to go to a lady's daughter's 16th birthday and he will be getting $30 an hour as well. He's getting really good and he has a blast doing it so I'm happy for him.
As for me I just been working at Porter's full time again... but this will be my last time! But it hasn't been too bad, I just feel like a bad wife when I get home because I'm so tired when I'm done that I haven't been the cleanest house keeper and I usually end up in bed and fall asleep pretty quick afterwards but Dustin been an awesome husband and has been helping me out a lot.

Our Little Surprise!

Painting Dustin did of us, it's not done but I still like it.

About two months ago I wasn't feeling very well and I was wondering if I was coming down with something, but all I knew was that I was very tired and couldn't get enough sleep. Than an idea came to my head, "Am I pregnant?" and right away I was thinking no way but I wanted to ease my mind, so poor Dustin had to go to the store with me to get a pregnancy test because I just wanted to know instead of guessing, but I made him go and pick it up himself while I hid in the other isle, because since I'm from Rexburg and I know everyone I didn't rumors to spread, especially if I wasn't. Than we went home, I really was thinking that it was going to be a negative but again I just wanted to know. I took the test I watched it to see the result and right before my eyes it said I was pregnant! Emotions flooded over me and I didn't know what to think but once it sunk in I couldn't be more happy about this. So yep, I'm PREGNANT!
Just last week I went to my first ultra sound, and can I say, it is so amazing to see your baby and to see it move it is one of the most exciting things that has happened in my life! I have been having a blast reading about all that is happening with my baby and all I can say, it really is a miracle!
It's funny how to Lord will answer our prayers. Since Dustin and I have been married ( I know whole four months we were quick) we prayed to know when to start a family, and one week I was in the temple and I came with that question in my mind, and later that week I found I was pregnant, the Lord answers our prayers but sometimes it's not the way we expect.
Well, I'm a little over ten weeks along and my due date is November 16. Dustin and I are doing very well, Dustin started a new semester this last week, and I'm working at Porter's again and taking one class and we been having a great time being married.
Also, on the funny side, right as we found we were pregnant I put a pregnancy counter on the bottom of our blog to see if anyone would catch it and the only person that did was Nancy Tietjen so she found out a little earlier!

BIrthday and crazy week

Last week was my 21st birthday, and again Dustin made my birthday special. I don't have the pictures yet so I will post them later. For my birthday I woke up with breakfast that Dustin made and the apartment all cleaned up. Than after school we went to Idaho Falls to go shopping and he let me spend a lot of money for myself I was really excited. I got some clothes, shoes, Harry Potter book (because I want to have the whole collection but we can only afford one at a time) and Sense and sensibility the movie. We also we went out to eat at Fazollie's which is really good. Afterwards we went back to our apartment and Dustin got these way cool candles that light up in different colors (I saw them the other day at the store and expressed how cool they were) on my half eaten cheese cake that my mom made for me. It was really fun. Than we spend rest of the day relaxing which was super nice. Also my mother-in-law gave me more miche purses which I really like. Than the day after my birthday we went to my parents house and had home-made pizza because for the last few months I keep begging my mom to make it. So that was a great surprise. My 21st birthday was great!
This following week has been crazy, Dustin and I have lost many things, but luckily after much praying and being patient we have found all of them, but to give you an idea how much here is the list:
1.coat
2.jumpdrive
3. Wacom pen
4.wallet
5. remotes (but that's every day)
6.keys (again, every day thing)
7. backpack
8. art supplies
9. books

Well, luckily we found all of those things but sometimes I wonder about us, I just think we are too busy that we forget where we place things.
Another crazy thing that happened to us this last week was our disaster with cake. This last Friday we were having a get together with some people in our ward and Dustin and I were going to bring a cake "were" is the key word here because we thought that we needed to double the recipe, but we were wrong. The cake overflowed, and it was every where! It took us a while to clean it up, and I still find random spots where there is cake, but when it happened we couldn't stop laughing. Last week was one thing after another maybe this week will go more smoothly.

TWO MORE MONTHS!!!!

Our wedding announcement

In two months from today Dustin and I will be married! I can't wait!!!!! Today was an exciting day because I got our announcement samples in the mail, and it was fun to see the announcements! My sister-in-law did an amazing job!!!! Also today and work I received a little surprise from Dustin, there were gerber daisies on my desk and a note saying he wished he was here with me and that we just have two more months until we are sealed together!!!! Again, Dustin does something for me!!!
The wedding plans are going really well, we just booked our luncheon at the Joseph Smith building, my dress is getting cleaned and pressed, the announcements are getting printed, we have our stuff set for the apartment. Pretty much everything is done but a few odds and ends! So things are going great besides the distance thing, it's been really hard.
Another exciting thing is my brother and his cute little family is coming next week! And I can't wait! I'm greatly blessed!

What We Have Been Up To.

Me and the pile kitchen stuff I have been collecting!
Michael, Dustin, and Ashley at the Baptism

So here are some things we have been up to the last week (I'm trying to blog better).  This last week I started packing some things in my room, I know, it might seem early but I'm really excited to be getting married to Dustin, also between school and getting things ready for our apartment I decided to start doing some of it now or it won't get done. So I started packing stuff I don't use everyday such as my collection of books, and I'm embarrassed to say, I have filled two boxes and I got maybe half my books!  I love books but I didn't realize that much! But between my art books, children's books, and just books I enjoy, they start collecting..... part of me is wondering how I'm going to pack all 20 years of my life... but I will have to manage.
Also this week I was able to go to the store with my mom and buy some kitchen stuff, I'm so lucky to have my mom to help me get ready for my next adventure in life. That was way fun, it's crazy how depending where you are in life certain things are exciting, like a year ago I would never thought buying kitchen stuff would be this exciting! But it is!!!
Another amazing thing happened this week my niece Ashley (on Dustin's side) got baptized! Sadly I wasn't there but Dustin and his family had the chance to go. It's so neat to have the gospel in our lives and what amazing thing to have the Holy Ghost in our lives! And I'm so excited for Ashley to be a new member of this church.
Than today, I had a little surprise that I didn't expect. I got a letter from Dustin! I can't believe what a blessing he has been in my life, he has been there for me every time. Last night I was really down and he text me all night until I started feeling better, even through texts he knew something was wrong. And than today I get this letter, and it seriously made my week! He wrote me about the first time he met me and how he felt and how he feels about me today. And than there was a check for me, because I have been struggling with money lately because of school, art supplies, and many other things and I have been expressing that to him this last little bit. And I couldn't help but cry, I have never been treated so well in my life, I didn't know what to say? Than he gave me an extra ten dollars that he insisted that I use for me and only me. Really, I don't know what to say to that? Only that I have been truly blessed and the Lord knew exactly who I needed for my eternal companion and I have never been happier!!!

My Trip!!!!!

Last week I went back to Pennsylvania to visit Dustin and I had a blast! It was sooo much fun! The first couple of days we stayed at Dustin's house and helped his mom clean the house a little, than we saw some Amish and we ate at an amazing pretzel place and ice cream place!
Than on Wednesday we went to New York City! It was my first time there and it was so fun! First Dustin and I woke up early to leave from Pennsylvania and go to Staten Island to take the ferry to New York, but we took some wrong turns and ended up driving in the city... It was CraZy! But really fun, Dustin was going all over the road and people honking everywhere. Well we finally found the ferry, and that was fun. I got to see the statue of liberty, than we saw the Society Illustrators (which was my favorite), than we went to Central park, time square, and many other things! We tried to get into to Wicked but we didn't win the lottery but it's ok we still had fun looking at all the amazing stores.
Than on Thursday we went to DC, went to Cheese Cake Factory  and we saw all the monuments at night! Which is so fun to do at night! Than the next day we went to the Holocaust museum and some art museums! It was so fun but I hated leaving!
Dustin is so much fun, I'm so lucky to be with him, he is such a blessing in my life! I can't wait to marry him! 104 more days, but who is counting!

Just playing around!

Lots of hours on the phone with Dustin, eating a lot of fruit snacks, some exercising and working, and a lot of photo shop you pretty much summed up my seven week break! Basically that's all I have been doing and it's been pretty fun just taking things easy for a while. Anyway the last couple of weeks I have really gotten into editing pictures so here are some examples of techniques I have learned the last little bit. I also have ordered a book to teach me more techniques and I'm planning on taking a photography class this January and I'm hoping I can do some photography in the side. Anyway I plan on putting up more later!

OUR FIRST COUCH!!!!

So today I bought our first couch for our first apartment! I was super excited! It was the first time that I have bought furniture in my life and it was red!!! Which I was very excited about because everything I own is black, so our apartment will have a black and red theme to it! Also I was really excited that this couch was only thirty dollars! Also this couch is SUPER comfortable I already love it!!!! I also showed pictures to Dustin and he liked it too! I love it, since he is artistic like me he doesn't mind having crazy colors in apartment! Buying this couch also made me excited because it made it seem more real that I was getting married! I can't wait to put this in our apartment!
