So he Proposed again....but this time with the Ring!

About a week ago Dustin proposed but the ring wasn't ready so this last week I was wearing a fake one. Well, to make a long story short, the ring took a really long time to be done. Finally yesterday the ring was done!!!!! So Dustin comes in my head drawing class and proposes to me again in class! I was super happy.... again.... and said yes again...! It was great! I loved it!!!!! The ring is gorgeous, prettier than I anticipated and a lot bigger than I anticipated! But I LOVE IT!

So yesterday was another great day! Dustin can always bring a smile on my face!

He Popped the Question and I Said Yes!!!!

Today has been one of the greatest days of my life!!!! Dustin proposed to me!!!! I have never been happier!!!!! Dustin truly brings joy in my life, the last few months he has become my best friend! I don't know how I got so lucky to have the opportunity to spent all eternities with him!

So you want to know how he did it?

Well.... here we go....

This morning we decided to go hike the R Mountain to watch the sunrise. When Dustin came to pick me up he had gerber daisies with him, Boy, what a great way to start the day. When we were on our way to the R mountain we decided to just watch the sunrise in Beaver Dick Park because the sun was rising a lot faster than we anticipated. We sat on a dock by the river and it was just gorgeous, there was fog everywhere, and all you could hear were the ducks in the distance. Dustin brought his guitar with him and said that he had a song that he wanted to sing to me because it reminds him of me. The song was called:

After the song he said that he added another verse, than he goes on his knee and he started singing this to me:

And of course I said YES!!!!!!! 

Than he went to give me a ring and apologized that it wasn't the ring that I picked out because my ring was not ready yet, so he pulled out a 25 cent ring that he got from a venting machine, but I still loved it! I told him I didn't care as long as the ring was from him! After that we celebrated with sparkling cider and plastic cups! I couldn't stop smiling after that!

Than afterwards we had the opportunity to call and text everyone the great news! I also had the opportunity to talk to Dustin's parents for the first time over the phone, I was nervous at first, but once I got talking with them, I fell in love with them right away! I'm super excited to meet them and be part of their family!!!!!!!!

 I'm super excited about getting married to the most amazing guy in the whole world!

EASTER EGGS!

For Easter Dustin and I doubled with Paul and Bri and we dyed( I think that's how you spell it?) easter eggs, it was a lot of fun. Even though I think everyone dropped one of their eggs, so we had a lot of cracked eggs. I think that Paul and I took the dying Easter eggs too seriously, we went too technical and spend way too long getting it just the right color!!!! -It must run in the family.

I love Easter! And I'm so grateful for my Savior and I'm grateful to celebrate his resurrection!

THE BEST WEEKEND! ...... and a little funny story!

This last weekend Dustin and I went down to Utah for conference! It was soooo fun! We drove down Saturday morning and arrived at my sister's house at noon, but my sisters and my mom were having a ladies lunch,  so I literally dumped Dustin at my sisters and said, "well here are my 16 nieces and nephews and my brother, and brother-in-laws you never met, good luck and I will see you in a bit!" I felt soooo bad! I was worried the whole time we were at lunch, wondering how Dustin was handling the mob.

After two hours I returned, worried  to see a disaster but instead it was quite the opposite, Dustin was there with my nieces and nephews having a blast. Phew.... what a relief! Maybe it went too well because Dustin took my popularity away because my nieces and nephews wanted to play with Dustin more than me! ha ha, I wouldn't haven't it any other way! It was just really fun, I thought Dustin fit right in the family. This trip also was really fun because driving to Utah and back gave Dustin and I the opportunity to really talk with no homework in the way, and it was really nice that we didn't  want to return to school the next day. 

Now the FUNNY story..... Well Dustin and I are art majors, so the whole art department knows that we are dating and are always wondering what is happening in our relationship, in other words we are something they like to gossip about and make little predictions.... well it doesn't help that I'm the art secretary as well.... well this past weekend we also went ring shopping (which was super fun by they way!) and some of the teachers heard about it because my super visor loved mentioning to anyone who walked through the office doors what I was doing for the weekend. Well the story continues.... on Tuesday Dustin was in his Digital Illustration class when the teacher started the class by, " I heard there were some good news that happened this week. Someone in this class got engaged." Dustin looked up and realized the teacher was talking about him but he didn't know what to do so he just decided to remain quite and hoped that the teacher might caught on, but no. The teacher continued by saying, " I will give you a clue, he's the one with the biggest tablet." than all of the class yelled "DUSTIN!!!!" and poor Dustin had to clear some things up, and the teacher felt horrible, but we personally think its funny. Pretty Hilarious! 

Than the other day Dustin and I were in an art class together and my teacher always calls me "west" and this time he was like "MISSSS West." and than looks at me and smiles, " I won't be calling you that for much longer!" It's really fun dating an art major!!!!

I'm Dating the Most aMAZeINg Guy in the Whole WIde World!

Pretty much I'm dating the most aMAZeIng guy in the whole wide world! I seriously don't know how I got so lucky, here are some things about him that I love or that he does for me that just blows my mind!!!!

1. I have seriously  never met a nicer guy.

2. He's strong in the Gospel.

3. Hard worker.

4. Very talented.

5. Loves kids!

6. Quotes movies (I knew we were meant to be when I noticed he quoted movies).

7. He bursts into song while we are walking around campus.

8. He makes me smile! I don't think I have stopped smiling since we have been dating.

9. He always opens the door for me!

10. He is honest!

11. His heart is good!

12. I have never been happier!

13. He is my best friend, I know that I can tell him anything!

14. He still hangs out with me even when he knows all my quirks!

15. I love his smile! 

16. And lets face it.... he's just DARN good-looking!

17. I love how he laughs every time I do my ridiculous wink at him in middle of class. 

18. The way he treats me is incredible that I didn't know what to do with myself at first!

It's Been a Good Week!

These are just some pictures of my new hair color!

First thing I just want to say is that I have been truly blessed! This weekend I had so many people come and comforted me! Seriously, I didn't realize how lucky I was! So thanks to all my friends and family, you're truly blessings in my life.

This last weekend I colored my hair in dark brown with a red velvet tint to it! It's super fun, I like it, my mother on the other hand said: "You have a purple hair! Why would you ever want to do that!" I love her still!

Than this last week Dustin and I had a good chat, and we are back together! And wow! Did I miss that kid over the weekend!! We both agreed that was the longest weekend and life was just not the same!!!! It's amazing what communication can do! So that happened this Tuesday, so the week started of really good.

Than today I found something out that I have been dreaming about since I was a senior in high school and it was my goal ever since I heard about it! I made it the BFA Art Program!!!!!!! I'm so excited!! I have been working really hard to get in this program and I was way nervous to turn my portfolio in because I barely made the cut off line credit wise and I knew that I was competing with some really good juniors and seniors! But Brother Huntsman (my favorite art teacher in the whole wide world) gave me the thumbs up, and said "shhh" because technically I'm not so post to know until a week or so! It's pays to be the art secretary!

So life can get any better than this!

When Life brings you lemons, you make Lemonade

So life goes up and down, I have learned that through out my life especially the last 2 years! There are times when life seems like nothing can go wrong and you have everything figured out, than there are times where you feel like nothing will never go right!

So there have been some bitter times in my life and some trials I have had to go through. And there are times when I handle the situations not well and other times I handle them better. But the last 6 months I have come to realize that your trials can become your sweetest moments in your life.  

About 8 months ago I went through something that I wasn't sure how I was going to make it, than I came to the conclusion that this trial was either going to break me or make me, and I decided to let it make me, and I never been so blessed in my life. I decided to not focus on my problems but to listen to others and help them with their trials and try to be everyone's best friend, and it's made the hugest difference in my life because I have discovered some amazing friends. Later I slowly came to realize that I couldn't be happier, and that you can conquer anything when you're close to the Lord and when you serve others.

Well now I'm back to similar experience that I was in 8 months ago, and what's interesting is sometimes when you're at your lowest you start to see the blessings that you have surrounding you. For example my parents and my friends, they are amazing, they are already helping me through this trial.  And since I have gone through this before I know that I can make it, but this time I have been blessed even more and I'm anticipating what will I learn through this trial, and anxious to see what I can be because of it. 

So what do you do when life gives you lemons? You make Lemonade!

WHAT AN AMAZING BIRTHDAY! BIG 20!

This is the note that Dustin gave me, well it's the sketch. He finished it on photo shop but it wouldn't print out so he gave this to me instead! And I love it!!!! It's a picture of the two characters in WALL-E, that's the first movie we saw on our first date! When he first gave it to me I couldn't help but smile!

Well, yesterday was my 20th birthday! And it was the best yet!!!! Dustin spoiled me like crazy! I don't know how I got so lucky to be with him! I mean he blew me away!!! 

First thing, I woke up with a text from him saying: "happy birthday beautiful!" Than I walk in the bathroom to get ready and there were these most gorgeous flowers that I have seen! It was an arrangement of different pink gerber daisies!!!!!!! 

Than it gets better...... I go to work that afternoon and there are 20 balloons! I mean 20!!!! They were almost dominating the whole office! And the balloons were in cute bright colors. Also there were a bag of Skittles and Sweedish Fish (which are my favorite!) I couldn't believe it! I couldn't help but have a smile on my face the whole time I was working!!!! 

Than that night he took me out, not telling me what we were doing!!!! And the whole time he was driving to our destination he was saying how lucky he was to be with me!!! But really I'm the lucky one! Well.... he took me to Olive Garden, which is my favorite, than we had Italian Cream Sodas, again my favorite!  And a very delicious dinner! Afterwards we went to Barnes and Noble, you guess it.... it's my favorite store! And we sat there reading all these picture books of places I want to go because I love traveling!!!!!!! Than we ended the night just talking!!!!! How amazing is that!!! I can't express how much all those little acts mean to me! I'm seriously a lucky girl, dating an amazing guy, I have amazing friends and family! It doesn't get better than this!!!!!!

NEW SHOES!!!!!

So those who know me very well.... a.k.a people that worked at Porter's, knew that I loved those loud clunky shoes, that were illegal to wear at Porter's but I did it anyway. Well I have let them expired.... I know, I know. It was hard.

But for a side note for those who might not know what I'm talking about, there were these shoes that I just LOVED! I mean I have had them for 6  years and the last two years I just loved them even more, I would wear them EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! They were sooo comfortable.... I think they slowly formed into my feet. Anyway.... the thing about these shoes they made me walk really loud... people at Porter's would make fun of me because of it, you could hear me all over the store with the "clunk-e clunk" all through the store. But I just loved these shoes, that even when the sole was pulling apart I super glued them TWICE! That stuff is amazing by the way! 

Recently my foot started hurting really bad and later I found out it was because of my shoes! I was horrified! Than I realized that I didn't have too many shoes in my closet because I pretty much threw them away except slippers and flip flops so I broke down and bought some shoes. Again, for those that know me, I love BIG CLUNKY shoes, but I decided to try some flats! This is a big step for me... but I think I will end up liking it, but now I walk quiet! It's weird.... so now you will never know when I'm coming!

I Have Been Blessed so Much!

I have been thinking lately, a lot actually, how BleSSeD I am! Life has been really good, the Lord has really watched over me! I wake up every day with a smile on my face and thinking how lucky am I!

Here are some blessings that I have:

1. Great parents that love me so much and have been my best friends the last couple of years.

2. My siblings, I just love them to death! What a blessing they are!

3. For all the people that I have met in my life, I think we meet people for a reason, they help us throughout our lives! And I have met some InCReDiBLe people that have truly made a difference in my life.

4. For my amazing teachers who truly care about me and who want me to succeed in my life.

5. For my talent in ART, art is my passion and I don't know were I would be if I didn't have my art.

6. For the tender mercies the Lord gives me so that I can keep going.

7. For all the embarrassing moments (and I have a lot) that I can look back on and laugh.

8. For my religion class that I have this semester!  It's truly amazing I think I  cry every time I have that class! 

9. Not going to lie..... NUtEllA is for sure a blessing! That stuff is aMAzINg!

10. And of course for this GOSPEL! And my Savior!
